An integrated multi-objective optimization and multi-criteria decision-making model for optimal planning of workplace charging stations

• A methodology is proposed for selecting the best option Pareto solutions. Multi-objective optimization and multi-criteria decision-making methods are integrated. The model provides an optimal electric vehicle supply equipment type at workplaces. WASPAS improved by introducing Dombi Bonferroni functions flexibility. This study addresses planning of charging infrastructure As a given workplace can involve various criteria that comprise conflicting single objectives, this proposes new integrated multi-objective (MCDM) determining most suitable (EVSE) configuration. approach combines advantage optimization, which yields solutions, with MCDM model. latter used to evaluate frontier find performing solution enabling station owners use linguistic variables weighting variables. conventional weighted aggregated sum product assessment (WASPAS) method in making it more flexible as compared its counterparts. In final step, selected solutions ranked reapplying case performed based on collected data from workplace. To validate model, comparison against four alternative models performed. It demonstrated very close ranking order approaches. Among five EVSE options, DC fast found be while AC Level-2 (19.2/22 kW) least attractive option. Sensitivity analysis shows robustness results response changing weightings coefficients.
